So konoha once had this huge clan uchiha who lived in peace with the other clans the speciality of this clan was their eyes they could use sharingan the eye that let them detect and copy all the moves making them the strongest clan in konoha.madara who was an uchiha realised it and told his clan of the evil idea of taking over konoha under a single uchiha family his idea was rejected firmly and he was thrown out later joined akatsuki as tobi but thats the other story.the uchihas might have rejected his ideas but they couldnt forget soon the later generations adopted madaras idea and secrety worked to take over konoha just as every uchiha betrayed the hokage and konoha there was an uchiha called itachi sasukes brother who rejected their ideas secretly and went to seek help from the third.the third at first send itachi as a secret spy but the uchihas were getting insanely strong as all of this was only a secret which itachi and the 3rd knew the 3rd had no choice but to eliminate the uchiha clan to prevent from konohas destruction and the order could only be given to itachi so late at night he killed every single uchiha not even a trace was left sasuke was practicing and arrived home late and he saw it his fam dead everyone dead and itachi did not kill sasuke he said that he wanted to be stronger so he did that?why did he lie?its because itachi couldnt kill madara as he was stronger the man who was responsible for this he let sasuke live in hate so one day he could be powerful enough to beat madara *

One more thing when itachi was leaving he told sasuke that if he wanted the eyes that itachi had(mangekou sharingan) he had to kill his best friend this showed itachi wanted sasuke to get stronger for revenge *
